How to Pay Gas Bills Online in Pakistan (SNGPL & SSGC) - 2025 Guide
Paying the Sui bill used to cost a morning at a National Bank counter. In 2025 both companies — SNGPL across Punjab, KP, Islamabad and AJK; SSGC across Sindh and Balochistan — clear bills through wallets, bank apps, ATMs and RAAST in under a minute. The skill isn't paying. It's knowing which channel to use when the disconnection notice is already taped to the gate.
Know your number first
SNGPL issues a consumer number, SSGC a ten-digit customer number; both are printed on your last physical bill, and both unlock everything online. Before paying, pull the current bill — the Consumer Bill section at sngpl.com.pk, the Customer Management portal at ssgc.com.pk, or each company's app — so you can spot trouble early: an (E) for estimated reading, a Fuel Price Adjustment that jumped, or a Late Payment Surcharge you don't actually owe. Compare the printed meter reading with the physical meter before you pay anything that looks off.
Where to pay
- JazzCash, Easypaisa, NayaPay: Bill Payments, Gas, your company, consumer number, confirm. Free or a few rupees.
- RAAST BillPay from your linked IBAN: instant, and you share no card details.
- Bank apps — HBL, UBL, Meezan, MCB — usually post within an hour or two.
- The 1Bill voucher at any ATM, for cash people.
- SNGPL's ConnectOn app and SSGC's Customer Connect both have Pay buttons that hand you straight to the wallets.
When the payment vanishes
Save the transaction ID and the confirmation SMS; a paid bill shows its badge in the app within about half an hour. When next month's bill arrives without your payment, email the receipt to [email protected] or [email protected] — consumer number in the subject line — and it gets reconciled. Charged a late-payment surcharge despite paying on time? Attach the receipt in the app and request an LPS reversal; allow about seven working days. And if you ever smell gas, stop everything and call SNGPL 1199 or SSGC 021-9901 3130 before you think about bills at all.
