The Umrah Season 1448 Calendar for Pakistani Families: Visa Issuance Stops 9 March 2027, Last Entry 23 March, Every Pilgrim Out by 7 April 2027 — the Three Windows Left Before the Walls Close, the Hajj Blackout on the 365-Day Visa, and the June 2027 Reopening

    File #947 · 4 min read

The Umrah season is not a river that flows all year — it is a reservoir with gates, and the Saudi Hajj Ministry has now published the 1448 calendar that says when they close. For Pakistani families the numbers are unusually kind to planners who read them early and brutal to those who read them late.

The quick answer: the last Umrah visa of the season is issued on 9 March 2027; the final entry into the Kingdom is 23 March 2027; and every Umrah pilgrim is out by 30 Shawwal 1448 — 7 April 2027 — after which Makkah clears for Hajj. Between now and those walls sit three windows: the December school holidays, the January value trough, and the Ramadan stretch from about 8 February to 9 March with the Eid al-Fitr week behind it. The reopening comes only around early June 2027, once 15 Dhul Hijjah passes — and the first weeks after reopening are the crowded ones.

    The calendar in one table

Date What it is Plan backwards
9 March 2027 Last Umrah visa issued File weeks earlier — operators need documents, Nusuk package and processing time
23 March 2027 Last entry into the Kingdom A 23 March entry needs a visa by about 21 February under the 30-day entry window
7 April 2027 Final departure (30 Shawwal) Book return flights on the right side of the wall
Late April–late May Hajj blackout (1 Dhul Qi'dah–13 Dhul Hijjah) Even 365-day visa holders cannot enter
~Early June 2027 New season expected Expect the reopening rush

    Why the walls exist

Between Umrah and Hajj the Kingdom flips Makkah's entire logistics — housing, transport, the Haram's crowd plan — to Hajj mode. Umrah visas pause, and the pause is enforced, not advisory: the 365-day multiple-entry visa explicitly deactivates for entry from 1 Dhul Qi'dah to 13 Dhul Hijjah, and no clever routing around it survives a check-in desk. The Hijri calendar file explains why these dates walk eleven days earlier each Gregorian year — 2028's walls fall earlier still.

    The three windows left

    • December 2026 — the school-holiday Umrah. Peak family season, peak fares, and the corridor files show why early December books better than late. If school holidays are the constraint, book now, not after exams.
    • January 2027 — the trough. The quietest, cheapest stretch of the season, cold nights in Makkah traded for thinner crowds — the best-time file prices it month by month.
    • February–March — the Ramadan squeeze. Ramadan 1448 runs about 8 February to 9 March 2027; the last-ten-nights file is the planning standard. The trap is the visa arithmetic: a family flying for the Eid al-Fitr week — entry around 10 to 23 March — needs a visa issued by late February, and the 30-day entry window is the rule that quietly enforces it. The families who stay past Eid to finish in Makkah follow the Eid stay file — and still clear out by 7 April.

    The reopening, honestly

When the new season opens — operators point to around 1 June 2027 — two things happen at once: the pent-up demand of a closed season lands in the same fortnight, and hotels price that rush. A late-May or early-June Umrah is a beautiful weather window with the year's densest early crowds; the disciplined move books the second half of June or waits for the summer rhythm to settle. And the demand behind those walls is no longer abstract: the Ministry's own opening sheet counted 931,500 Umrah visa arrivals in the season's first six weeks — up 22.5 percent — with Pakistan the number-one source country at about 200,000 pilgrims, ahead of Indonesia's 170,000; the season-numbers file prices what that surge does to permits and rooms.

Pro tip: write three dates on the family calendar before anything else — 9 March, 23 March, 7 April 2027 — and let every booking decision fall backwards from them.

Season band hone ke baad June ka naya daur shuru hota hai, magar pehle do hafte bheed zyada hoti hai.

The season's walls have published dates; Palestine's walls are concrete, built by an occupier, patrolled by a state that calls starvation a border policy. Ya Allah, bring down every wall between Gaza's families and their own sea, fields and futures, and give Sudan's people a calendar with no war on it — a season of return that no gunfire, no general, no blockade can close.

A season with hard walls punishes improvisation and rewards planning — which is exactly where a calm desk earns its keep. We actually respond, twenty-four hours, no hidden charges, no message left on read; every client gets the season's dates written into their own plan, with hotels and flights booked on the right side of every wall. The 1448 Umrah Season Closing File: Visas Stop on Eid Day, Entry Closes 23 March, Everyone Out by 7 April 2027 — the Three Deadlines That Decide Pakistan's Last-Chance Umrah

On 30 October 2026 the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah published the full closing calendar of the 1448 Umrah season, and it is tighter than most Pakistani families realise. The three gates: Umrah visas stop being issued on 9 March 2027 — which is 1 Shawwal 1448, Eid al-Fitr itself — visa holders must enter the Kingdom by 23 March 2027 (15 Shawwal), and every Umrah performer must depart by 7 April 2027 (30 Shawwal), after which the machinery pivots to Hajj. This file walks the arithmetic backwards from each deadline: the 30-day issuance-to-entry window that quietly kills late Ramadan bookings, the 90-day stay rule that is overridden by the 7 April wall, what the one-year multiple-entry visa holders may and may not do as the season turns, why the December and Sha'ban windows are now the real value corridors, and what happens after 7 April when Makkah clears for Hajj 1448. Plain detail on the two families of error — flights booked for dates the visa window cannot cover, and overstays priced in riyals per day — plus a checklist that keeps your dates inside all three gates at once.

The Hijri Calendar File (2027–2029): Why Umrah Dates Walk Backwards Every Year, Umm al-Qura vs Pakistan's Moon, and How to Plan Leave Around a Calendar That Moves

Every Pakistani family books Umrah on the Gregorian calendar while the prices move to a different one — the Hijri year runs about eleven days shorter, so Ramadan, both Eids and the Hajj window slide backwards through your holiday planner each year and never land in the same week twice. The mechanics, plainly: why the lunar year drifts, what Saudi Arabia's pre-published Umm al-Qura calendar actually guarantees and what it does not, why the Supreme Court still sends out moon-sighting calls near Ramadan and Dhul Hijjah, and why Pakistan's Ruet-e-Hilal Committee sometimes announces Eid a full day after Makkah — which decides whether your Eid shopping and your video calls line up. Then the planning arithmetic that saves real money: the anchored dates for 2027, 2028 and 2029 — Ramadan around 8 February 2027, then late January 2028, then mid-January 2029 — how hotel rates chase the Hijri peaks while school holidays stay Gregorian, why a 'cheap March' exists one year and vanishes the next, and the habit of converting every target event before you book a single leave day.

The Serving-Pilgrims File (2026–2027): Saudi's 'Be a Supporter' Volunteering Drive, What the Ramadan and Red Crescent Programs Actually Recruit, Why an Umrah Visa Is Not a Volunteer ID — and the Serving Every Pakistani Pilgrim Can Do Anyway

Saudi Arabia has built a whole volunteering layer around the Two Holy Mosques — the 'Be a Supporter' initiative the national portal now actively promotes, Ramadan volunteer registration for the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque, Red Crescent drives for the Hajj season, and ministry packages of volunteer initiatives to serve pilgrims. This file separates what is structured from what is realistic for a Pakistani on a short trip: the formal programs largely recruit residents with local status, an Umrah visa is issued for worship and travel, and no platform will schedule formal shifts around a 30-day tourist-style stay. Then the half that needs no registration at all — pushing a stranger's wheelchair up the Masa'a ramp, translating for a lost pilgrim in a language the signs do not carry, water at the right hour, the crowd-moving help the mataf always needs — and the etiquette that keeps service sincere instead of performed. With the famous hadith on aiding Allah's servants, the free wheelchair services most families never claim, and the reason serving in the Haram outlasts every photograph.

The Saudi Winter File (2026-2027): Umrah and the Season of 233 Events — Nine Destinations, Jeddah's Fifty-Six, AlUla's Skies, Falconry, Formula E and the Asian Cup, Paired With the Calendar the Family Already Holds

On 28 October 2026 the tourism minister launched the Saudi Winter calendar across nine destinations — Riyadh, AlUla, Qassim, Hail, Jeddah, Al-Khobar, Al-Ahsa, Madinah and the Red Sea — with more than 1,800 tourism products and media tallies counting 233 events, Jeddah reportedly leading at fifty-six. For Pakistani families this lands exactly on top of the sweetest Umrah window of the year: the cool months between November and March, inside Umrah season 1448, whose visa issuance closes 9 March 2027 and whose final entry date falls 23 March 2027. This file pairs the two calendars honestly — AlUla's Skies festival running 6-15 November 2026, the King Abdulaziz Falconry Festival in Riyadh from 17-30 November, Formula E on the Jeddah corniche 18-19 December, the AFC Asian Cup rolling through Riyadh, Jeddah and Al Khobar from 7 January to 5 February 2027, Riyadh Season itself running 21 October into 1 March, and the Grand Prix closing the window in March — with the discipline that keeps the pairing sane: events belong to the Jeddah arrival leg, the Riyadh stopover or the departure day, never to the Haram days themselves; tickets come from official channels only; and the winter trip that honours both calendars is Umrah first, events after, never the other way around. Ibadat pehle, baaqi sab baad mein.

Eid al-Fitr in Makkah 2027: Staying After Ramadan Ends — the Dates, the Eid Prayer at the Haram, Zakat al-Fitr Before You Pray, and the Shawwal Quiet Pakistani Families Keep Missing

Most Pakistani Umrah families fly home the morning Ramadan ends — and miss the one morning Makkah changes character. The dates file (Ramadan 1448 expected from 8 February 2027, Eid al-Fitr calculated for 9 or 10 March 2027 depending on the crescent sought on the evening of 8 March); the Eid prayer itself — held roughly fifteen to twenty minutes after sunrise, not at fajr, which catches half the Haram's guests asleep in their rooms; the visa arithmetic that decides whether your 30-day issuance window still covers the Eid dates; how Zakat al-Fitr must reach the poor before the Eid prayer and the official Ehsan platform that now collects it digitally across the Kingdom; what actually closes and crowds on the Eid holiday; and the honest case for the Shawwal week after — the quietest, cheapest, most underrated window on the whole Makkah calendar.

Sha'ban 1448: January–February 2027 Is the Last Cheap Window Before Ramadan Umrah — Dates, Crowds and Booking Discipline for Pakistani Families (2026–2027)

Ramadan 1448 begins around 8 February 2027, which makes Sha'ban — roughly 10 January to 7 February — the last quiet month before the year's biggest crowds arrive. The value-window file: the 5–20 January sweet spot after Pakistani schools reopen, hotel rates at their year's floor before the late-January climb, the SAR 300 visa fee plus SAR 100–180 insurance, the December application the 30-day entry clock demands, Makkah's 28–30°C winter days, and what you honestly trade away by skipping the last ten nights.
