How to Check Matric and Intermediate Results Online in Pakistan (2025)
Result morning in Punjab has a fixed choreography: the boards announce for 10 AM, and by 10:01 several million students are hammering the same handful of servers. In 2025 the matric results across Punjab dropped together on 24 July, Karachi followed on 13 August at 2 PM, and the intermediate results rolled out between mid-August and mid-September. Punjab's boards coordinate one date through the PBCC, which is why so many portals melt at the same minute. Here is how to get your marks anyway.
Know your board's portal
Typing the URL directly beats searching while the internet groans:
- BISE Lahore: result.biselahore.com
- BISE Rawalpindi: results.biserawalpindi.edu.pk
- BISE Gujranwala: result.bisegrw.edu.pk
- BISE Faisalabad: result.bisefsd.edu.pk
- BISE Multan: results.bisemultan.edu.pk
- BISE Karachi: results.bsek.edu.pk
- BISE Peshawar: results.bisep.edu.pk
- BISE Abbottabad: result.biseatd.edu.pk
Expect half a minute per page on the morning itself, and refresh every two or three minutes rather than continuously — hammering the button slows everyone down, you included. If every portal fights you, the Hamariweb results page loads on the slowest connections of all: pick your board, enter the roll number, done.
The SMS codes that actually work
When the site keeps throwing errors, SMS is the channel the boards keep alive. Send your roll number to your board's short code:
- BISE Lahore: 80029
- BISE Gujranwala: 800299
- BISE Faisalabad: 800240
- BISE Multan: 800293
- BISE Rawalpindi: 800296
- BISE Karachi and most Sindh boards: 8583
- All KPK boards: 9818
- BISE AJK and FBISE: 5050
Each SMS costs about Rs 2.50 plus tax, the reply lands within seconds to a couple of minutes, and it works when the internet does not. Keep more than Rs 20 in balance on result day — running dry mid-check is its own small tragedy.
Read the letters before you panic
Two codes confuse people every year. RL or RLE means Result Later — the result is withheld, usually over a missing document or an attendance dispute, and your school plus the board's inquiry counter can tell you why. CC means Confidential Case, typically a pending rechecking or court matter. Neither means failed, and both get resolved in person, not through panic.
The gazette and the marksheet
Roughly two hours after the announcement, each board uploads its official gazette — a PDF listing every candidate by roll number. If the portal login fights you, the gazette still answers. The provisional marksheet PDF downloads immediately and is what most colleges accept for early admission, so save it and email it to yourself before the portal slows again. The original attested card arrives through your school a few working days later; that is the one admissions offices eventually demand. Note that most portals offer no search by name — the roll number is the key to everything, so write it on paper before the morning starts.
A moment, while we are at it, for the students of Gaza — a generation receiving results without the schools that prepared them, and still passing. May they get their classrooms back.
And once the marks are in and the family has exhaled, there are a few weeks before the new session starts — enough for one last trip together. That is our busiest fortnight at the desk: HTG Travels in Sialkot, families walking in with the result card in one hand and August dates in the other, leaving with Naran and Swat itineraries in writing. Come by after the announcement — walk-ins welcome.
