- Infinix Hot 50 Pro — around PKR 36,999 (8/128 GB). Helio G99 Ultra, a 120 Hz AMOLED, a 33 W brick in the box, and a 32 MP selfie camera that aunties approve of. PUBG runs on Medium; night shots need a street light for company.
- Tecno Spark 30 Pro — around PKR 37,999 (8/256 GB). Stereo speakers that actually stereo, software lighter than Infinix's, IP54 splash resistance. The binge-watch champion of the bracket.
- Redmi 14C — around PKR 36,999 (6/128 GB). The Snapdragon 685 runs cooler, Gorilla Glass survives the drop, and the IR blaster makes you the AC-remote hero of the house. The display is IPS rather than AMOLED — that is the trade.
- Samsung Galaxy A06 — around PKR 38,499. AMOLED, IP54, two OS upgrades and four years of security patches. If you trust brands the way you trust nani's haldi, this is your safety blanket. No charger in the box, and the Helio G85 is dated.
- itel S25 — around PKR 32,999 (8/128 GB). The cheapest 108 MP camera in the country, a 120 Hz screen and 8 GB RAM. The UniSoC T616 is for calls, YouTube and light gaming only — do not push it.
Where to buy without the drama
PriceOye for official warranty and easy returns. Telemart for PTA-approved stock and EMI on HBL and Meezan cards. Or do it properly at Al-Fatah in Lahore or Mobile Mall in Karachi: walk in, touch the thing, haggle, keep the receipt. Whatever you choose, check the IMEI on the PTA DIRBS portal first — a non-approved set stops activating SIMs once the grace window closes.
One honest tip
Buy the one you will keep three years, and sell the old set on OLX or Cashify instead of the drawer. Fewer upgrades is the cheapest feature nobody markets.
