Khan Academy's Urdu section covers maths and science against the Pakistani HSSC syllabus. freeCodeCamp issues real certifications in web design, JavaScript and data analysis for completing projects rather than watching videos. The Odin Project is the free full-stack curriculum whose Discord answers at 3 a.m. Stack those certificates beside GitHub-archived projects and you out-apply most bootcamp graduates locally.
The dev basics
Apply once with your university email and the GitHub Student Developer Pack unlocks itself: GitHub Pro, the JetBrains set while you study, a domain for a year, cloud credits from DigitalOcean and Azure. When a group assignment needs code, Replit lets the whole pair edit one file live — and the commit history remembers who actually did the work.
Design and presentation marks
Canva's free tier produces a defensible pitch deck in an afternoon — deck, OG image, one-pager for the judges. Figma verifies students for its education plan, unlimited files and editors for the years you qualify. Design students I know sell the templates they build on Gumroad between semesters.
The 2 a.m. study partner
The free tiers of ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini explain a concept at midnight and quiz you before the paper; Gemini's long context is the one for feeding whole textbook chapters. One rule, non-negotiable: verify every citation against the actual book, because models invent references with total confidence.
