Cricket World Cup 2027 from Pakistan: Every Green Shirt Fixture, the Two-Visa Run and the Johannesburg India Match
Pakistan's 2027 is already written in fixtures. The fifty-over World Cup — the first edition with fourteen teams — runs across South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia from 2 October to 21 November 2027, and the full schedule is published. Five of those matches involve the green shirts. One of them is India, at Johannesburg.
The quick answer: Pakistan's group fixtures read: Afghanistan in Tshwane on 8 October 2027, India at Johannesburg on 10 October, Qualifier A at Bloemfontein on 15 October, Zimbabwe at Harare on 19 October and Australia at Paarl on 21 October. The semi-finals land at Cape Town (17 November) and Tshwane (18 November); the final is at Johannesburg on 21 November. Pakistan currently sit fourth in the ICC ODI rankings — comfortably inside the top-eight line that hands out direct World Cup berths. The travel work is visas: South Africa through VFS, Zimbabwe through its Category C e-visa, both fileable months ahead.
The fixtures that decide your itinerary
Start with the 10th of October: India v Pakistan, Johannesburg. Every green-shirt supporter who travels for one match travels for this one, and the city will be a carnival. Cape Town hosts the main-round opener a day earlier — India v Australia at Newlands — so a Cape Town start into a Johannesburg weekend is already the natural arc.
The 19 October date against Zimbabwe at Harare Sports Club is the trip's second stamp — one of the two group games outside South Africa. Alongside the 8th's opener in Tshwane, Paarl in the winelands on the 21st and Bloemfontein in the Free State on the 15th, Pakistan's group stage conveniently bunches into one southern corridor with one away weekend.
And the border bonus is real: Victoria Falls town hosts World Cup fixtures on 24, 28 and 30 October and 1 November, with Zimbabwe v India on the 24th. The greatest waterfall on earth in the morning, an ODI in the evening — and the two match-day visas you are already filing. The two remaining qualifier slots are still being decided through the 2026–27 pathway, so watch the ICC's announcements for the final group picture.
The visa runway, measured in working days
South Africa runs Pakistani applications through VFS centres in Islamabad, Karachi and Lahore — roughly R425 in visa fees (about PKR 7,000 in recent listings) plus around USD 50 in service charges — with Home Affairs standard processing near 60 working days. Counting backwards from October 2027: file in June or July, not September. The electronic ETA South Africa launched in August 2026 covers only China, India, Mexico and Indonesia in its first phase — Pakistani fans stay on the VFS file.
Organisation pays literally: accredited group-travel schemes have been turning applications around in 24 hours since August 2025, so a fan group of ten or more often moves faster than any single application. The SARS online traveller declaration — mandatory since 1 July 2026 — is a separate, simple form filed in the final month before flying.
Zimbabwe repeats its Category C rule: the e-visa at evisa.gov.zw — USD 30 single entry, about seven working days — approved before you fly. Namibia's e-visa covers Windhoek, where the tournament's opening Super Series week runs 2–6 October, for the completionists.
Flights, tickets and timing
No nonstop reaches Johannesburg from Pakistan, but the one-stop map is broad: Qatar Airways and Emirates through their Gulf hubs, Turkish through Istanbul — and Ethiopian's Karachi–Addis nonstop feeds its own onward Johannesburg leg on a single ticket, the Africa routing nobody remembers to price. Match-city hotels for October 2027 will tighten the day ticket sales open.
Tickets themselves move in phases and ballots through official ICC channels — register interest early and refuse the resale swamp; inflated paper is how World Cup dreams die. Springtime is the southern-hemisphere deal: Cape Town mild and windy, Johannesburg warm with afternoon thunderstorms possible, Paarl at its winelands best. Pack layers, not wool.

| The big one | 10 Oct v India, Johannesburg | Book everything early |

Pro tip: The 60-working-day standard means a June 2027 file is already cutting it fine for an October opener — but the 24-hour group scheme rewards organisation. Build the fan group first, then submit everything together.
Follow-the-team routing across two visas, five match cities and one final weekend is the most complex fan itinerary of 2027 — and precisely what HTG Travels builds for Pakistani groups: the VFS file, the Harare e-visa, the match-city flights and hotels that survive a sell-out. One WhatsApp to +92 317 5054959 starts the group. Tell HTG Travels how many tickets you need — the fixtures wrote themselves a year ago.
