In today's web, two aspects are paramount:

  • Security: Protecting against common threats like SQL Injection and Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) through practices like input sanitization and using parameterized queries is essential. Implementing HTTPS is a baseline requirement.
  • Performance: A slow website leads to poor user experience and lower search rankings. Optimization techniques include compressing images, minifying CSS and JavaScript, and leveraging browser caching and Content Delivery Networks (CDNs).
