Android caught up to MagSafe's alignment trick, so a snap-on bank now delivers a proper 15 W to a Galaxy S25, OnePlus 13 or Pixel 10 — and 25 W to an iPhone 17 Pro Max. The category has settled, prices are sane, and pockets have never been tidier. Here is what is worth sticking to your phone.
The banks worth the money
- Anker 633 MagGo (10,000 mAh, Qi2) — roughly PKR 14,500. The default pick: deck-of-cards size, a built-in kickstand, 15 W wireless plus 20 W USB-C, and enough hold to survive a Karachi speed-breaker.
- Anker Nano Qi2 (5,000 mAh) — roughly PKR 8,500. For slim pockets and light top-ups.
- Baseus Picogo (5,000 or 10,000 mAh) — roughly PKR 6,500-9,500. The value corner; the 10K also outputs 30 W over USB-C.
- Sharge CarbonMag (5,000 mAh) — roughly PKR 11,000. Carbon-fibre shell, about 120 grams, the best-looking thing in the category.
- Benks ArmorGo (10,000 mAh) — roughly PKR 13,000. Aramid-fibre armour for bags that treat accessories like cargo.
- Apple MagSafe Battery — roughly PKR 24,000. Ultra-thin and it matches the iPhone, but priced like everything else with a fruit on it.
Snap-on gadgets beyond the bank
The magnet standard turned the phone's back into a mount. Torras's Mini-Mag cooler fans clip on for summer gaming sessions; Peak Design's MagMount moves the phone between car vent, bike and tripod; Anker's Qi2 pads turn a desk into a drop-and-charge zone; and Sharge's MagCard slides into a wallet slot at credit-card thickness for emergencies. Buying smart in Pakistan
- Look for the Qi2 logo — plain Qi tops out at 7.5 W, which is the difference between a lunch break and a coffee break.
- Hold strength matters: above 1,000 grams of magnetic force, a bank stays put through rickshaw rides and general life.
- Pass-through charging is the sleeper feature: one socket refills the bank while the bank refills the phone overnight.
- USB-C input only. Any bank still using Micro-USB is announcing its age.
- Daraz and Telemart carry the genuine lines, but counterfeits circulate — buy from official stores, and note that Anker honours 18-24 month warranties through authorised retailers here, while Baseus and Sharge run importer warranties of about a year.
